When our client engaged us to renovate their kitchen in Alexandria, we knew it had to be special. With a few design iterations, we worked out the best choice of layout and finishes.

Here are some key features of the design
Custom Joinery and Integrated Storage
All cabinetry is custom made, with a mix of Polytec Classic White Matt on the main runs and Polytec Tasmanian Oak grain drawers on the island for contrast. Deep soft‑close drawers, a pull‑out spice and oil cabinet adjacent to the cooktop, and dedicated storage for trays and chopping boards maximise every millimetre of this compact Alexandria kitchen. The kitchen features:
A long run of benchtop space accommodating the cooktop and sink
Oven and Microwave unit next to the double fridge
Bar Unit next to appliances with an integrated wine cooler
Wide body island with a radius corner on the overhang and a waterfall end
Standalone 4-door pantry unit
A mix of cool white LED downlighting and warm white spot and pendant lighting

Verde Castama Honed Marble
For the design to stand out, we selected the Verde Castama 20mm Honed Marble from Overlook Tile House. Our friends at EMG stones were meticulous in preparing and installing the marble.
This kitchen has a few stone features that stand out:
20mm thickness benchtop to highlight the full body profile of the marble
Radius corner and mitred waterfall end on the island
Cool white LED downlights to bring out the the veins in the marble

Brass Handles and Warm Timber Accents
Slimline CORNET brass handles from Kethy run consistently across pantry doors, drawers and integrated bins, tying the different zones together and adding a subtle touch of luxury. Wall cabinets are fitted with the Bargo Brass Knobs - also from Kethy. The timber island joinery and bar stools bring warmth against the green stone and white cabinets, making the kitchen feel connected to the existing timber flooring in the open‑plan living area.

Lighting and Appliance Layout
A slim linear pendant above the island works with recessed LED downlights and under‑cabinet strip lighting to create layered, functional light for cooking and entertaining. The layout includes a gas cooktop with stone splashback, double wall ovens, integrated dishwasher, French‑door fridge and a built‑in wine fridge, making this Alexandria kitchen ideal for home cooks who love to entertain.

Why This Alexandria Kitchen Works
By combining natural green marble, custom joinery, brass hardware and thoughtful storage solutions, this kitchen renovation delivers both style and everyday usability. It’s a great example of how a carefully planned bespoke kitchen in inner‑city Sydney can feel luxurious, highly functional and perfectly tailored to the way the owners live.
